Our own manufacturing is in earthing. Pipe electrodes, copper bonded rods, earth enhancement compound and the 10-inch FRP pit cover are made by Ashima Electrotech and sold under the ACME Safe Earthing brand.
What we make
Pipe earthing electrodes
GI pipe-in-pipe, GI pipe with GI or copper strip, pure copper and copper-bonded. 50 and 80 mm, 2 and 3 m. 26 catalogue codes.
Copper bonded ground rods
High-strength steel core with electrolytic copper coating, 40–50 or 250–270 µm. 14 and 17.2 mm, 1 to 3 m.
Earth Enhancement Compound
Backfill compound. Resistivity below 0.12 Ω·m, pH 7–10, sulphur below 2%. 10, 20 and 25 kg bags.
FRP pit cover, 10 inch
Tapered circular fibre reinforced plastic cover with factory-built holes for pipe and strip.
How the electrodes are built
- Hot-dip galvanised
- GI pipe and strip are hot-dip galvanised, so the coating covers cut ends and drilled holes as well as the body.
- Compound-filled
- Pipe electrodes are filled with a conductive, moisture-retaining compound that holds resistance down as the soil dries.
- Electrolytic copper bond
- Copper bonded rods carry a uniform electrolytic copper coating over a high-strength steel core, in two coating classes.
- Five configurations
- Pipe-in-pipe, GI + GI strip, GI + copper strip, pure copper + copper strip and copper-bonded MS pipe, each in standard diameters and lengths.
